I lose count all the time! Oh my! I had lost the yea of laughing until recently my business Coach was telling me how she tries to laugh at herself for no reason several times a day and hey, if it’s good enough for her, then it’s good enough for me! Here is a quick idea. Take a few coins and put them in the opposite pocket as you normally would. When you laugh at yourself, put one of the coins in the other pocket.  You can’t go to bed until all the coins have shifted pockets!  Try that one on!

<<Networking Nugget>> Take 30 minutes to read a positive book at a coffee shop.  Sit in such a way that other people can see what you are reading.  We are building a network and 2 of my TOP paying clients came from them seeing the book I was reading at a coffee shop and conversation was sparked. Getting out of your normal routine for a day won’t kill you….

This is such a great way to change up your daily networking.  I have become a staple at our local coffee shop and can’t even begin to tell you about how reading there has helped me in building my professional network.  The conversations that are sparked by other people in the shop have been some of the most powerful business conversations I have ever had!  I have made some great friends and 2 of my top clients came from coffee shops!

I do not know what to even say.  Get into the habit of meeting new people when you are out and about in your daily life.  if you are going to build your network of professionals, then you have to start using the tools and tips that the big kids do.

<Networking Nugget>>>Today is a bit outside most of our comfort zones. Go to meetup.com and see if there is a group meeting in your area where your PROSPECTS would meet. Join the meetup group and leave a greeting for the Organizer letting them know how excited you are to visit the group.

I will not do a huge long post here on why I think meet up is one of the BEST sources of prospects there is around! <<Networking Nugget>> Today is a bit harder than most. Today, call your auto insurance agent and schedule a lunch or coffee with them.  Here is the deal. Bottom line, they by nature of what the sell, know everyone in the community.  During the meeting you are just getting to know them. NO SELLING. During the meeting you should try to find out who would make a great referral for them.

This is really an important one!  If you are going to build a huge network of professionals that we can leverage out, we need to start by networking with the people in the community that already have large networks of professionals. This would work as well for the person who deals with your health insurance or even your local Realtor.  The point here is to start looking at tips and tools to get you in front of the people we need to see, rather than a cold call, it would be much easier to have someone else make the introduction.  Remember these folks are usually pretty dang good networkers in the first place and heck you may even pick up a tip or 3!!

Today is all about getting to know someone new. The advanced Nugget is to add more people to the lunch. I might add that Shane added in YouTube to only ask questions and you are not really allowed to talk during the lunch. I love that because it is all about the other person and seeing if you can support them in their business. I would love your comments.

<<Networking Nugget>>  Using whatever means you have (facebook, email, phone) find someone who is in network marketing and purchase a product from them. Usually they have huge networks of people and trust me when I tell you, they will be happy to A. Get the business and B. Put you in the “cool” category.  People ask me all the time how I have a big network and it starts by working with peers who have big networks.

This may just be the best Nugget so far!  If you are already in a network marketing company, I would love for you to leave a comment here so people can find you! I live my life by buying products from network marketers all the time!  Look, I know there is a high probability the person will try to recruit you and thats o.k., remember we are building a network! I have made a full time income for the last 2 years in network marketing and I can tell you, it has produced some of my very best friends and I meet new people every sniffle day!  If you really think about it , you can do so much of your shopping from people who run their business from home.  For example, I have not washed my clothes in anything but Amway’s laundry detergent. I do not sell Amway but I sure have friends who do.  You can literally buy almost anything from network marketing companies and you will get better products than you can in a store while supporting your peers.  Now, please do not mis read this nugget, you do not join every company, but by buying products from people in a company,  you will be doing a lot towards building that network of yours!
